Happy New Year ! Squidgemakes in a year...

What a Year it has been - for every single one of us. I don't think there was anyone that was not effected by the pandemic this year.. and businesses alike.

Squidgemakes has been going for 4 years now, 2020 was going to be the year I PUSHED... and I flipping well did, but for different reasons .. keeping the business going!

As soon as lockdown began, I whipped together a new batch of ideas to suit the current climate of shoppers... from once revealing a surprise trip to now an IOU or a more simple home gift. It was kind of a strange time. Although with all the support from my Squidgemakes shoppers... it seemed that they were going to be a hit.

Christmas has been an odd one.. I was wondering if people would still buy into these cards this year, but I perused my ideas and boy oh boy did you guys not fail me! Again another record breaking year... if only it was not for the Royal Mail undertaking too many deliveries, that caused them with nearly a 3 week backlog - on which I'm sure has still not been resolved fully. I actually had to shut the store nearly a week early, as i just did not want too many people let down.

Many customers were understanding about the delays and that I will be eternally grateful .. sadly this also brings out the bad in some people and a few were a little more then unhappy. As a seller i want you MORE to get the card, then you wanted to purchase it... i have designed it...made it...sent it and i want you to LOVE it..

2021 - So lets try and make this the year!!

With new ideas already in progress... and new edits being made to some of the older designs Squidgemakes is coming for you all!!
